Equal standings at the end of the season

Alan,

If, come the end of the season, both Fabrizio and Jason end on the same number of points, and the same number of wins, who would end up as champion?

How does a situation like this get resolved?

It is resolved through a "count-back" - by counting up the most race wins. If that does not resolve it then counting the most second places, then the most third places and etc.
