Sign me up. I'll join it. Pick 2 drivers, 1 make of car and score accordingly. Maybe have a price list for drivers/cars. Everyone send me ?10 and I'll run it if you like....

I think the fact that Dunlop (the main sponsor of the BTCC) already run a fantasy league, might have a bearing on whether this idea is approved or not.

why not do it the same way it is done elsewhere where you pick yout top 8 drivers for the weekend and you score what points your drivers score over the 3 races. I am sitting 4th out of over 200 so far and aiming for a podium finish after thruxton

how about something like this (ONLY AN EXAMPLE)

Pot 1

Jason Plato
Gio
Gordon Shedden
Matt Neal

Pot 2

Colin Turkinton
Darren Turner
Mat Jackson
Mike Jordan

Pot 3

Tom Chilton
Onslow-Cole
Jones
Allison

Pot 4

Gareth Howell
Hughes
Smith
Murray

All the rest pot 5

You can have 1 driver from each pot 1- 4 and 2 from pot 5

You can only pick 1 manufacturer

Scoring is as follows
10 points for a win
5 points for 2nd place
3 points for 3rd
1 point for 4th

If your drivers get 1st and 2nd place you get a bonus 3 points
If you driver gets a mister meaner deducted 3 points

With an idea like that, it should be called the Champions League/UEFA Cup of the BTCC :D Apologies Editor 1 it this went of topic a bit

Thats a good idea, and with some tweaks could be very good. I reckon the points system needs to be changed, as if you are picking drivers from pot 5, they are not going to get in the top 4, so they will never score points! Am i right?

Also, they driver pots will need to be updated and changed the closer we get to the begining of the season, but otherwise good idea and im in.

What's happening with this then...any progress!! If it is to all be design and ready for the 2008 season in March then shouldn't things be on the rolling road now!????

Going off what Alan has said...it is far more likely for Dunlop to running theirs again...therefore unlikely for us to have our own...ahhhhhhh never mind, worth a try though!

If you guys do do a unofficial one I would love to take part. I didn't know that Dunlop did one.

Did any of you take part in it?

we will not be holding an unofficial one, asked Alan about it. If however Dunlop do not hold a fantasy BTCC (Which I very much doubt) then we will hold on.
