Anyone know what number he's running? Thought it would be #88 but he's listed after Erkut Kizilirmak on the BTCC drivers list. #97 to reflect the year he first one the championship?

i agree be good for him to have that number just been looking at his profile and looking at platos profile i didnt realise his record is even stronger than menus im just saying what a great driver platos is the evidence speaks for itself im not trying to be funny by the way.

Menu is running #88 - a glitch in the system put him behind Erkut but this is now fixed.

Thanks

Didn't Plato start as Menu's team mate at Renault?

They were team mates there in the 90s when Menu was champion in the Laguna

was that the yellow laguna with the blue wheels on it or did it have bits of blue on the paintjob?

They did indeed. Imagine Alain's... 'surprise' when Jason qualified on pole for both his debut rounds at Donington Park. Alain, very much the established star at Renault, went on to win the title that year (he achieved an unprecedented 12 wins and had it wrapped up by Snetterton) but Jason had certainly made an ever-lasting impression.

menu in my own opinon is better then plato but when they are out in front, they are both good at pulling away/staying in lead. i hope menu doesnt get taken out cos he only got 3chances for a win!

Although that is true, Plato has started more races than Menu. I am a Plato fan first & foremost, but you have to tip your hat to someone of Menu's ilke!
Plato has started nearly 50 races more than Menu, plus you could argue that most of Menu's races were more competitive. Its a close call, they are two of the best the BTCC has ever seen IMO.

totaly agree with you menu is one of my heros his driveing skills are second to none im the same i will be shouting for plato come the race but you have to like you have said tip your hat to the guy at the end of the day haveing him back is truely the best that could happen.

I don't think you can really compare the 2. They're both top notch, they're both outstanding. But comparing drivers who haven't raced against each other constantly and in the same equipment is IMO virtually impossible.

Just ignore that bit. It's just saying what car he's driving in this weekend. It's nothing to do with what cars he's driven with during the 90's
