So as the dust starts to settle (well almost) I would like to ask, what is your biggest memory of the season? Let me know, I'm sure we've all got that little bit of the big story, I know I have.

I have many great memories from this year. But my best bit has to be Tom Onslow Cole winning at Snetterton. I shouldn't forget Jackson's victory at Oulton either

Theres a few, maily involving the underdogs...
Pinkney leading at Thruxton the first time around...
Stockton mixing it at the front & trying his heart out...
Jordan leading at Brands, should have won...
Jackson at Oulton & Thruxton...
Shedden winning at Knockhill...
The way FabGio & Plato have shown respect for eachother all season...
There are many more that have slipped my mind, but if I had to pick a favourite moment then it would have to be the hug between JP & Fab in the phto on the main page. great image!:)

Mine, mmmm, Well, I was getting a bit (make that very!) overexcited when Fiona Shot past Kerry (Yesterday in the last race!)
She looked like she was on a mission!

Two special moments for me, Gordon Shedden at Knockhill, genuine glee at his home win.
My Mate Tony falling bum first down a slope at Oulton desperately trying to save his butties.

My best moments of the year were
1,Taking my pen back from Matt Neal and saying "No thanks" while my programme was being handed around between Mike Jordan, Andrew Jordan,Gordan Shedden and Squeal for autographs, then turning my back on Squeal and chatting to the Jordans, in the paddock at Thruxton back in May
2, Scoring 8 Hospitality Suite tickets at Brands and getting to see more than even the TV cameras could see.
3, Chatting candidly and quite enibriated to John Cleland and Paul O'Neil at Thruxton Kart track during the Racing4Charity race at Thruxton
4, Scoring a drive for my mate George Boothby on the team TSI (Team Safety Issues) at the racing4charity event then seeing him get the lap record for the team.
5, Racing wise the whole year has been fantastic and probably the best I've ever seen, just a shame it was marred at the end by Squeal and his personal agenda.

think the worst bit of season is reading nearly 12pages of you lot moaning/b*******/s******* each other off about neal!
the highlight was finding a picture frame (cartoon) of neals nissan and him signing it at not the best of times near his motorhome thing.

I enjoyed the whole year but I do happen to have some rather nice pictures and memories.
I suppose the highlights are meeting two more really nice drivers - Rick Kerry and Alan Taylor. People like them are worth their weight in gold in my opinion as they talk to fans, have a laugh and a joke. Seeing one of the nice guys do well is worth a 100 wins by the likes of Giovanardi etc.
I am just pleased that the BTCC has loads more nice guys (and gals) than not.

My biggest memory of this year was Rockingham. My other half won the BTCC compotition for VIP tickets and we had a fantastic day. VIP passes, hospitality box and my favorite thing... a grid walk before race 2. It was amazing. As I was stood there Louise Goodman was doing her intro slot for the TV cameras, press photographers were snapping away at the grid girls, the team were buzzing around the cars and the drivers were getting prepared. All this alongside those HUGE grandstands. It really was fantastic.
And then the racing just got better and better. At Rockingham you can see the whole circuit from just about any seat!
And the sound of Mike Jordans Honda when his exhaust broke. He sounded like a Spitfire coming through turn 1.
All in all a brilliant day that I'll treasure for a long time.

Possibly the first 500 yards of the final round when Ian Tichmarsh announced that Fabrizio was ahead of plato!
Either that or Fabrizio on the roof of his vectra after making another title to add to his CV!

Like Les, some of the best bits of being a BTCC fan is the oppotunity to get to meet and in some case know the drivers, some at the sharp end and some at the back too.
After not seeing Paul O'Neil to speak too for over two years, I spoke briefly with him, without hesitation and using my first name, he asked how arr u mate?, it made my day! If your reading this Paul, its great to see you back

yeah paul is great to talk to, i said to him we want to see him in the btcc next year and he said ask his girlfriend if he can take part!
he was the only driver to say" have a good day, thank you" so if any of you out there see him at future races, you should visit him, top bloke

As a SEAT fan their wasn't many during the season, but if their is one I would say what happened in race 2 at Croft.
Plato allowed Turner through to score an extra point for leading on the start/finish straight and a lady on my left and a man to my right...let's say...didn't exactly agree with the move. Of course being a SEAT fan I clapped the move.
I have never felt so smug and high and might in all my life!:D

I am sorry but I don't remember things like that well.
About Rockingham Race 3, Plato made a quick start, as did Turner, Plato never seen where Turner was, then Plato came across the whole field and hit the front of Turner which in result damaged/fractured Turners suspension!!

my fave part of this season was camping at croft this year when we had a barbie and got soo drunk that one of us fell over on the ground and by the end of the fall had ended up being in a tree.
the racing at croft was always good too.
as always though donington proved to be fantastic, full of action and i was lovely and warm with my huge vxr coat on.

Not quite right... He didn't make qualifying. Trashed an engine in each test session!
Chris was not a happy bunny when I saw him on race day. They did 88 laps of Oulton Park testing with not problems. 5 laps at Thruxton, bang! Second test session lasted a bit longer, he managed 17 laps!

hearing everyone cheer when pinkney took the lead at thruxton was quite good
stockton going well in the lexus always made me smile - i'd like to see him in a front running car
when ever giovanardi got pushed into a slide - amazing how he saved it everytime!

I particularly liked the noise the cars make, nothing like it.
Also the smell of the paddock reminds me of when I used to visit my dad at ATS.

Tom Onslow-Cole and Adam Jones's first podium - always a very special moment seeing someone who had been trying their hardest get their first bit of glory.
I missed out on Tom getting his first win at Snetterton but he spoke to me on the phone soon after and that was very very special.
Disappointments... that ruddy Lexus and Dave not managing to stay in the lead at Thruxton

My best bit of 2007 would be going to my first race weekend ever, which happened to be Brands in August, which had just about everything in it.. variable weather, new driver(s), great racing, incidents... pity about the 1st lap carnage that depleated the field! but gave me an insight on location as to how bloomin' hard teams work
Worst point? spilling my beer while trying to navigate from the infield bar to the campsite via the race track at thruxton!

i think for me my best bit was when plato got into second in the first race at the final at thruxton the crowd went mental,i think from that moment i knew it was going to go down to the wire and the next two races were going to be amazing well until the last race and the antics that went on say no more hey.

Yup! I do just expect you to pick one single bit. One moment of
your year that sticks in your mind. I've been married for years, very happily, but there's still one moment that will always stand out in my mind.

sorry ... i knew you meant that but i was just trying to be cheeky by trying to get away with it ... unfortunately for me it did not work!
i'll be back on to this thread when i've thought of my favourite part as there are so many to analyse to have to choose one
