Jason Plato At Brands Hatch

Does anybody know are we going to see jason out for ga motorsports this weekend,would be great to have him back in btcc.

Last thing I read was that he was supposed to appear at Brands, but I guess it's all down to money.

Hope he does appear at Brands. He'll be another entertaining driver for the CART crowd to notice in the BTCC races

Aren't the Seat Cupra series kicking off at Croft this weekend? If that's the case I'm sure in his capacity as head driver coach he will be there and not at Brands Hatch.

Motorsport News reports that Jason Plato won't be racing at Brands. Gary Ayles has said he'd rather wait and get Jason in the car than put somebody else in there, sounds strange to me, surely you want 2 cars out there fighting for the Indie title..

..this seems to me to be one of those typical "next race" scenarios. We saw it with ABG/TMSR in 2001 going on about the appearance of their 2nd car. I somehow get the feeling Jason's only being brought into the equation here to lure more sponsors on board.

As I said, I hope not.

Jason is very serious about his racing. Gary is a true professional and will only run a car if he has the proper backing.

In my opinion Jason returning to the BTCC would do a lot of good for the series.

Agree completely with Amanda. GA will be wise to wait for Jason. His return would do the series much good. Jason wouldn't want the team to do things on his behalf by halves.

I assume the lack of cash is as much about running the car than about paying Jason, so in that respect it wont make much difference who's in the car if there's no cash yet.

Also to be very basic, if he gets in a cheap or pay driver who goes out and smashes up the car then there's no real use in that is there? ;)

Get JP back in the BTCC. If you ask me it lacks class at the moment.
Plato comming back will re store things.
