However the resort is in Spain, looking at the photos on the website it looks like it could be the place that TG used.

I think it was as he said that it "was built by a Dutch oil billionaire" and on the Ascari episode he said that Ascari was "founded by a Dutch oil billionaire". There are quite a few of us Dutch sround, but most of us ain't oil billionaires obsessed with cars.

klaas zwarts is tom s father inlaw he is the owner of ascari and the track in spain
he made his money when he worked out how to drill oil quicker and easy even when the drill tip brakes he worked out how to replace it with out having to pull all the drill back out this saved time and huge amount of cash and he got about a million a time ...
his life history is worth reading and he is a speed freek :D

I bought the Knockhill tickets from their website. You need to select one day first and then you can select the weekend passes on the next page.
However I bought them before 30th November when they were still at 2007 prices, so the weekend pass was 28GBP each. It's gone up to 30GBP, which isn't too bad if it's just you going.
I also managed to book Travelodge for £80 each night. Which is a bargain compared to Holiday Inn's 100GBP+ rooms.

Just over 2 Months to the BTCC Season Begins, Can Nay wait. the excellent news for myself is i no longer have to Work Sunday's :D. I've decided that i'm going to try and follow the BTCC to as many of the Tracks as Possible this Year.
Both Brands Hatch Rounds are a Garrentie for me as i only live 20 Minutes away from the Track.
I attended Thruxton for the Final Round last year and would love to go there again.
I havent been to Silverstone since the 1997 British Grand Prix so would love to do that again, Also going to try and attend Rockingham, Donnigton Park and Snetterton.
Croft and Knockhill i leave in Question due to Distance, Unfortunatly wont be able to do Oulton Park as that's the same weekend as the WTCC Meeting at Brands
Still be sure to look out for a Guy in a Skull Beanie as that will most likely be me ;)

It wasn't until the finale at Thruxton this year did I realise that it wasn't that far from Swindon. D'oh, if only we had known earlier, could have seen more motor sport.

I was looking through youtube, And decided to type in Tom Chilton to see if anybody had uploaded any footage of Chilton testing the new Civic around Donny or any other tracks, And I came across a video called "Beat Me!", Basically its an invitation from Chilton and Giovanardi to try go karting against 10's of thoushands of people, Now this took place it 2007, But if it happens in 2009 or 2010 then im deffinatly taking part, The winner of the series I would believe gets thought lessons of how to drive a proper race prepared car, Infact its a Race-Prepared Astra VXR which you will then enter into the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup, They will be run by 888.Com Racing, This is really interesting and something I would love to do when I move to the UK this year :D:D:D
P.S - If you want the link to the video then PM me :D

Yes, I use it... It's fantastic... 1000000% better than the rubbish that is Internet Explorer... and may I add 1000000000000x safer than IE!
Internet Explorer has a massive security holes in it (well, lots of them), being a computer technician I see results of people using IE every single day (viruses, hijacks etc.).

Me!
It's fab, there's lots of extensions out there to make our lives easier. I've installed the English dictionary, so it tells me if I spell things wrong anywhere I can type, such as here. :D
You can also download an extension called greasemonkey. I forget what it does, but I use it with an art site I use, you can PM me if you want the url and it seems that it can re-style a website if someone has released a new style for it.
It's all so easy to install and use. Multiple tabs like IE7, automatic search when you start to type in a window.
I can't think of anything else to say about it...
...I love it. :D
EDIT: I also use IE7 for things that don't work in Firefox, though you can get an extension which emulates and IE tab/window.

Visit Newcastle on or after a match day (especially if we win)... the atmosphere is quite possibly the best in the world! It's just electric... No other city relies on football to determine the mood of the place as much as Newcastle does. Football is religion here, to put it simply.

I was watching a program on it earlier on called Be a Grand Prix Driver based on International Formula 1
Over a 1000 competiters fighting for one seat alongside Byfield and Brundell for a one off race at Monza
The winner turned out to be Irishman Mark Johnson, Due to bad qualifying he started 29th on the grid, And after the 13 lap race distance he eventually finished 8th, And 1st in his class of cars :D:D:D
I say well on him, And just as the show ended, He was offered a contract with the same team that run Jenson Button
Brundell said he could be the next young lad to lead F1 in the future

i think what must have happened is when the flames came from behind him, it must have gone underneath his helmet cos he didn't have any fireproof gear on - dont think he did anyway but i hope he has learnt from the mistake. i'm sure he would have done being a professional driver and all that - just hope it doesn't happen to him or anybody else again

I went on Holiday to Lanzarote and me and my dad had arranged for me to enter a little competition on one of the Kart Tracks down there, I think the track was a mile long with as many twists :P
Anyways, Since I was new, And didnt know the track really well, I got a few free laps to learn the track, After 4 laps, I returned to the pits saying to myself that was enough, And then an hour later we had to go out and qualify, I ended up fastest, But my time was not aloud as I had taken 4 wheels off the ground going over a corner and that lap happened to be my fastest, So i started right from the back of the grid of 40 drivers, Off the line I passed 3 of them, And into the 1st corner everyone was fighting for position and I sneaked up another 5 places on the inside, Lap 12 of 40 came up and i was up to 16th with 5th fastest lap, And I was feeling the strain of the sun(40 Degrees in a race suit is not nice :P) But I still continued on, By lap 30 I was 2nd and the leader was half the track distance away, So I had to settle for either 2nd or relly push for 1st, Lap 37 and I was right up his a*s lol, Passed him on the last corner on the 2nd to last lap, On the last lap I set the 2nd fastest lap ever on the track :D:D:D:D
