Anyone know how many were at thruxton for the last meeting of the season? It was heaving!!!

I know it was sold-out, maybe that will give an indication if the website for Thruxton states its capacity.

i heard 30,000 but im not sure if that was total attendance over the weekend or specific to sunday

It was only the grandstand that had sold out, that's a few hundred seats. Outside of the GP and Goodwood I've never seen a race meeting sell out.

Thruxton sold out a couple of times in the 70s/80s.
It has a capacity of 68,000 afaik though, so it's unlikely to happen again anytime soon.

How can you put a capacity on a field? Im not being funny, but I would be interested to know how they came to that figure?
Car parking facilities must come into it, I guess?
