Stay away Michael. Testing times this early on mean diddly squat. Look at Honda this time last year we all thought they could be in with a shot at the top three.
More impressive in that article is Gary Paffet. Well done Gary
I'll hopefully see how Chinmacher stacks up against Hamilton at the Race of Champions where drivers test their skills against each other in equal machinery, on equal terms with no favoritism, no room to cheat and where a 19 Year old Kovalainen has already beaten him before LOL

yep excatly
everyone who is afan of F1 would like to see how the most succesful driver in the world(but not greatest) squares up against a rookie.
i would love him to come back so we could watch that fight but then for him to go away because he would win everything and no one would watch

Not this F1 fan, IMO the last season was the best season of racing that F1 has had in well over a decade. Just a shame that all of the Ferrari Sour grapes and off track legal wrangling has cast a shadow over it.
Part of the reason for such great races I believe is due to the lack of Mr Schumacher and the obvious bias that he is afforded by not just ferrari but the FIA and I believe that F1 is a far better place without him.
How much chance would there have been of a 4 way championship battle if the chimmeister was still in F1? NONE, Ferrari would have put all of their eggs in the Schumacher basket which would have forced McLarens hand earlier giving us, at best, a 2 way battle and then the FIA's interventions would have ensured that Schui would have had the championship sealed up well before the final round.
I'm glad he's gone, now that the dark period of Shumacher/Ferrari domination is over we have got a real golden age of F1 coming, with a host of young drivers who are up and coming, who if at the right time in the right drives would have all been capable of beating Schumacher in his hay day, but now we have the spectacle of them all competeing against each other and with (hopefully) more teams & cars capable of winning races.

Yeah F1 doesnt need Schumacher or Ferrari anymore cos im sick of Ferrari. Now theyre calling Mclaren grubby cos of this legal thing and i say to Mclaren. Go out there and take them out. Do whatever it takes to take Ferrari off track

It's only a strong rumour at the moment, and if you remember back to the last Tin Top Tuesday programme they kind of let it slip.
Can you imagine the atmosphere if he does show infront of 80,000 motorsport fans in a stadium:eek:

yeh...
although i'd just buy an old cottage and a large field which i'd turn into a MASSIVE parking lot for all of my cars, which i'd have bought with the change...
obviously it would have to have been in germany or holland or somewhere as british planning regs wouldn't allow it...

its in switzerland!!!
they have too many rules and regulations concerning cars.
-you cant drive cars that make sound of over 65 decibels(isnt much)
-illegal to wash your car on thursdays ans sundays
-everyone has an electric car.
not the place for a petrolhead and possibly the worlds greatest racing driver surely?
would have gone to italy myself.

tax problems? corruption? media attention?
I'd prefer Switzerland to italy myself. I have an english friend who moved there a decade ago, and it is so corrupt, you have to bribe people to get your plumbing done, as well as paying the plumber! someone he knew wanted permission to build his house in a certain place but had permission denied 3times, but then he bribed someone and got permission immediately! obviously you have to bribe the right person or you get arrested...

exactly my point Frantic - you hit the nail on the head there! It's the same with Hamilton or any other driver for that matter, they will not let anyone past them if their out in the lead so it's exactly the same

i understand that a natural racing drivers instnict is to always win.
but fans want to see interesting racing.- not a group of cars led round by scarlet or even silver and red cars for that matter.
championship battles should be like they are in btcc.-- between several drivers!!!

yeah but if the silver or the red car is too fast for other cars to pass then they'll always be in the lead wont they - not their fault the silver or the red cars have the best drivers in!
