Alfa Romeo 1998

Looking at a guide to the 98 season from the Sun it has Alfa Romeos driven by Larini and Giovanardi and they were ment to appear only with a 156 for the live Thruxton meeting.

So why didn't they show up?

yep - if you remember in the preview to round one when CC and JW were walking about the pit lane listening to Robbie Williams, they say 8 or maybe even 9 manufacturers - #9 being Alfa.

I dont know why they never appeared but I assume it was to do with them competing in Europe and not having the resources to do both,

its a shame though cos 98 was arguably the best ST year and think how much better it could have been with a couple of Alfas!
