So, who are everyones btcc heroes and villains, past or present?
Mine are:-

Heroes:- Paul Radisich, should have one the btcc title, and also for allowing the tv cameras to go with him to confront Ravaglia after he took Paul off at Brands in '96, and allowing his total dismissal bt Roberto to be broadcast to the nation

John Cleland, for always having an opinion/hand signal for his rivals, and for knockhill '92. "we cannot see a thing. Where the hells the track?"

Villains:- Steve Soper, what was he thinking at Silverstone '92?

Alfa Romeo, for the contempt they showed the "spirit" of the rules in '94 when entering their 155 with it's "bits in the boot" to add to the spoiler and splitter to make them retractable, and then when they were told to race with them retacted at oulton park for taking their ball and going home.

Hero = Rick Kerry never giving up no matter what was thrown at him

Villain = MATT NEAL because of antics at Thruxton Finale (driving for VXR and not Halfords)

lmao i find it funny how people blame Matt Neal for being the baddy at Thruxton but Plato smashing into the back of him then cutting the first chicane is just plain cheating and anyone who cant see that isnt very clever

Both Matt Neal and Jason Plato rub each other up the wrong way and probably should be excluded from this, other wise it could turn in to another argument.

Hero: Rick Kerry for never giving up when it was obvious he wasn't going to catch the person in front at Thruxton. Jason Plato for driving with burns to his hands, neck and face.

Villians: Matt Neal for knocking Mat Jackson off the track at Knockhill, then blaming Mat for the accident, when he was on the inside! (Couldn't think of anyone else. :p)

Heroes- JP for his great driving under pressure and managing to maintain good camaradrie with gio this year.
Alfa Romeo- For entering a catastrophically unreliable car on the road and turning it into a race winner.
John Cleland- For managing to hold down the most boring of day jobs and then turn around at the weekends and drive like his hair was on fire.
fantastic driver.

Villians

Matt Neal- For crashing into other drivers without a good reason or a care in the world( i.e thruxton 07)and the childish remarks about jason in the 2006 season 'he should stop the s**t coming out of his mouth' -keep it to yourself matt and you may see drivers start to like you.

There are no other villians needed.

Heroes: Radisich - deserved title.

Villians: Ravaglia - Controversial all the way through 96.

Heroes:
Hamish Irvine - I remember him actually claiming his only victory in the Independents' Cup in 1995 in his old Peugeot 405 :D
Synchro Motorsport - They did so much for such a small outfit.
Patrick Watts - Mad
Charlie Cox - Probably mad
Bob Berridge - The first BTCC race meeting I ever went to see had Berridge hauling his old, off the pace Ford Sierra Sapphire around at the back for 25 laps at Silverstone in 1993, finishing roughly 20th place (though being only 9 at the time my lap charts were a bit dodgy). The crowd gave him a good cheer everytime he went by.

Villains:
Peugeot - So many years and no victories
Last season's engines in the BTC Racing Lexus - Grenades only go bang once.

Heroes - Jason Plato, because he is an amazing driver and very commited. Darren Turner, because he is clever, fast and always fair. Adam Jones, for an amazing year with an old car. Others: Colin Turkington, Tom Onslow-Cole, Fabrizio Giovanardi, Mike Jordan and Shedden (sometimes!!).

Villains - Matt and Steve Neal. I think you know most of my reasons...

Heroes
1. Matt Neal - For obvious reasons, Winning BTCC titles for 2 years in a row and then showing Britain how you win a race in a car that had done only 10miles of practise max.

2. Fabrizio Giovanardi - For coming into the BTCC as the biggest name and showing us why with his Muller like car control and gaining VXR's 100th BTCC race win, And then showing us what he is capable with in the right car which was the Vauxhall Vectra and showing us how to win in style at the finale against Plato

3. James Thompson - For puttin on an overwhelming feat in the WTCC in the last 2 years, Double win in an out dated Alfa Romeo 156 at Valencia, And almost managing to take the WTCC title, If it werent for Priaulx's antics putting him on front row of race 2 for Macau, And for winning the BTCC Title in 2002 and 2004, One in style against his own team mate

4. Mike Jordan - Coming into the BTCC and showing us that you dont have to be a BTCC Veteran to win a race in 2nd hand car, All you need is the right car and a good setup and you can win races and keep up with the big boys

5. Darren Turner - Coming into the BTCC as a spare driver in some words with the worst of luck with car failures and accidents, Eventually proving that he is a worthy race winner and deserves a BTCC Title in the near future

6. Gordon Shedden - Proving to use that he is a capable race winner and future BTCC Title holder in the near future, Winning plenty of races in the Integra and the new Civic which he never got his hands on until the opening rounds of Brands in 2007, We havent seen the end of Shedden thats for sure

7. Adam Jones - Nobody thought much of the fella in 2006 when he was in the Lexus, But he got his hands on a Seat Toledo and he burst onto the scene and showed us why he has beaten Gary Paffett and Mattias Ekkstrom from DTM and plently of other top names, He may have only finished 11th overall in the tables, But as we all knew that was due to WTCC comitments, Deffiantly going to be a race winner, And dare I say a future BTCC Title holder if he hangs around long enough

Villians
1. Jason Plato - Clearly not cut out to race if he barges his way past people in races, I.E Thruxton Race 3, Also calling someone a really good friend and then behind his back asking for his points to deducted at Knockhill for closing the door to late when T.O.C was trying to overtake and put himself and T.O.C out wide losing places

And to be honest there isnt really any other villians than Plato himself

Of course you are - however, you were taking what I felt was an unprovoked pop at another forum member which we don't allow (likewise personal insults against other members, drivers etc. links to or addresses of other websites so on. Common sense, really)...

well my heros has got to be the kartworld team hats of to them all season they have kept going with some really bad luck, but saying that its a small family run team which never gives up keeps going just to keep the cars on the track.

GOOD LUCK KARTWORLD FOR 2008.

Heroes: Paul Radisich, for consistent friendly approach to racing and for being one of the best non-BTCC champions ever, sometimes in un-competitive machinery.
James Kaye - For staying so long in the BTCC, even though it was clear he wasn't going to get much higher up each year.
Villains - Matt Neal (Needs no explanation)!

Heros: Any of the indie drivers who through the years have kept turning up at every meeting possible regardless of thier results, the best example of this I can think of from the last few years is Martin Bell

Villians: Clyde Valley Racing
