As the title suggests I'm a newbie here :) I've been watching the BTCC for over 10 years, Im a huge fan, despite only just turning 17 :) I've raced for 1/2 my life in karts, and love it, wouldn't change it for anything, however, its on the back burner at the moment due to funding issues. I've been fortunate to have been to see many BTCC races in the past, and have loved every single one of them, however, I've just passed my driving test, and me and my best mate have for quite a while been planning weekends away to watch the BTCC on our own, and today, my first adventure been booked up :D:D 2 weekend admission tickets and camping tickets - 55 days cannot come soon enough!! Cannot wait, going to be great :D Anyway, I'll leave it there, and finally, heres to a great 2008 BTCC season :) Ollie

So what does everyone else on here drive?

Well, being 14 I don't drive :D but the family has a SEAT Toledo 1.9 TDI and a Toyota Previa 2.0 D4D. Do you mean an old Mini or a new one?

Ace doesn't quite cover it by the sounds of things!!! I'd sell body parts to get free insurance, servicing, tax and fuel!! (Then go and buy a V8 Range Rover!)

Gotta be a new Mini - Always loved them :) Mum has got herself a brand new Cooper   I'm sure its to wind me up  You should get into Karting, best thing I ever did (also the most expensive but set that aside then its even better :D)

Thanks again for the warm welcome everyone :)

Alfa GT is a lovely car. As is any Alfa to be honest, can't think of a duff Alfa.

Hi Ollie and welcome!:)
I drive a Pug 207 HDI, looks sporty, but heavy as hell!

Dont give up on the Karting, I know it can get expensive, but as a hobby you can spend more on others and not get anywhere near the enjoyment.

Im 32 and still do it with 3 of my friends (endurance races), you can find a link in my profile to the venue we use most.:)

PF - one of my faves :) After Whilton Mill, and Rye House, and Kimbolton... Sorry I made it unclear from the start, but jacked in the outdoor karting a few years ago due to money, now I'm doing indoors just to keep my experience up, because I am determined Im going to race competitively one day, so need to keep the skill up. £45 per week is crippling me at the moment, especially as I only have just a Saturday/Sunday job to fit in with 6th Form commitments :( Oh well, I'll persevere, I love it too much :)
