Shame he didn't do that well this weekend :( In race 1 he pulled off a brilliant move on Thommo coming into Druids, but had to make 2 pit stops due to a shock absorber problem.
In race 2 he was running as top Indie but had to retire because of an electrical problem.
Still, we're in for a good indie fight this year... I reckon it will go down to the wire between Pyper and Collard unless those Pugs can get up to speed and out of mechanical trouble.

Rob showed good speed in qualifying and during the races. It was a shame he had so much mechanical trouble because he might even have finishe don the main podium. Don't forget also, he recently posted the fastest time at the Thruxton test.
I think he gets a newer spec engine soon. The one he is running at the moment is the 2001 spec engine!
There could be some cracking races from mid-season if the little Pugs keep improving.

There should be some close runs in the Indie Cup - and if Jason P does get back in it will be even better - or will he do a Matt Neal and take the race to the works guys?

Certain the Pugs will get better and better, each race will develop them further. Collard, Pyper and Plato, if he soon returns, might be a interesting scrap. What a great series, heh ? Allsorts going on the whole way down the field.
