Which BTCC rookie will have the best season. I reckon it will be Stephen Jelley but Steven Kane and Andrew Jordan could cause a good surprise.
(Included Alan Taylor in the poll because he has only competed in two BTCC meetings, so is still a BTCC rookie).

I voted for Jelley aswell, RWD expierience, Has gotton used to the BMW already, And showed pace Wednesday during the 4 Hour free practice session.
But if I was to choose somebody else id choose Harry Vaulkhard, Seems like a nice bloke and im sure he can be fast and consistant, Would love to see him get onto the podium if not get a win :D

After seeing the results from Rockingham, I think it will be Jelley. I reckon he could be a real challenge to Colin.

I think Kane will go well he will be used to rear wheel drive aswell from the Porsches, so I think he will be a dark horse. IMHO;)

TBH I dont think half the drivers were trying to do their best Wednesday, The Vauxhalls and BMW's were trying, But I dont think Halfords or Robertshaw were trying all out :(

From where I was it looked like Matt Allison was trying. He came through the chicane almost backwards at one point!

He was definitely looking for the car's limits.

It might be but then teams tend to get better results from their cars the longer they use them. Synchro Motorsport had their best season in the fourth year of running their Civic.

I reckon Stephen Jelly will win a race this year maybe 2 or 3, he might even win at the Season opener. Anything can happen and it Useally does in the BTCC.

Its going to be a close battle between the rookies.
Ive voted for Jelly, but come to think of it I think Harry V will do really good (also coz he is a local lad :D ) along with Kane.
Guess we will find out soon enough

I reckon Jelley will do OK but to start with he'll struggle to cope with the rough'n'tumble nature of the BTCC. In qualifying sessions he'll probably do well but when it comes to the races I think he'll give in to other drivers' aggreeion and slip down the field.

Hmm, not sure about that. He's used to getting knocked about by 5 tonne rigs, never mind the dinky toys (in comparison) to be found in the BTCC!
I voted for Vaulkhard, I reckon he is making the step-up at just the right time.

in some ways - Stuart Oliver could be in a better position - having an older car, towards the back... he'll be able to develop more BTCC style nudge moves

I have to agree about Stephen Jelley, Im sorry but Team RAC could have done alot Better, I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and say "Well he just needs time to Adapt" but he just doesnt seem to be showing any Improvement, To be in Arguably 1 of the Top 4 Teams and only Have a Point from 12 Races is Unacceptable, I'll be very suprised if he gets a 2nd Season.
and i also agree that Andrew and Kane have been the most Impressive rookies thus Far.

how is Jelley top of this poll? he hasnt impressed me at all, and especially his antics on Sunday, where he took Andrew Jordan off in the first complex in race 2 then took out Stockton at the final chicane in race 3.

I think I'd have to say Young One/Son/Young Git whatever his window says this event! I wasn't sure at first, though his times were impressive from the get go, but now I think he's really going to shine for the rest of the season.
