In a similar vein...

Does anyone have the review for the 1987 Formula First season? Trouble is, my Autosports are a bit patchy until 1988 and I'm wondering if anyone can help me out. Chaters don't seem to stock back issues anymore and so my regular source has dried up.

It's an embarrassed admission for someone who has some 15 years worth of concurrent back issues...

Reynard, can I ask why? Are you writing something up about it?

Wasn't 1987 the first year of Formula First? But I can't remember much details about it (I only got involved 89/90 season) sorry!

You may ask :)

Kelvin Burt asked me to put together a career archive for him and while I have about half of that season's race reports, I'd like the complete overview and race dates so that I can track down all the rest of blurb that I need.

Can't understand Kel - he's never kept anything, then winds me up about all the stuff that I have and proceeds to take advantage of all the bumph I've collected over the years.

1987 was the first FFirst season - Kelvin drove for Team Touraco and he won the drive as a scholarship no less. He finished fourth in the series, which was won by a certain Eugene O'Brien...

If anyone has anything that's of relevance either relating to Formula First in 1987 or specifically about Kelvin, please fling it in my direction.

I thought the inaugural Formula First champion was none other than a certain Ben Edwards!
