Hello all,
I'm a new member, but I already seek advice. In two week's time I shall turn 18, and to make this milestone special, I've been booked on for a place on the Racing Car Experience at Croft in June.
Initially, I thought it would involve me being taught about the racing line, braking points etc. and then be released to go out on to the track, going at my own (probably quite slow, but laughing knowing that I am in a fine car) pace. But following further research, I have drawn to the conclusion that the experience is likely to be indeed like racing cars ie. going round the track with other drivers, being competitive.
So, is there anybody out there who has taken part in the experience. Please note, I may shortly be 18, but I am not a boy racer! I love cars and driving, so I don't want to look like a complete fool on the roads by endangering my own and others' safety. Driving into a hedge is not impressive. Driving fast is not the problem, it's where it's done.
So, can anyone offer me some advice/tell me what happens on the day? Hoping it will be a welcome and exhilarating break from the A-Levels.
Thanks,
Peter
Ps: I apologise for the length of this thread. I like writing as well as driving.
