since ITV took on the btcc series i think that race coverage has improved compared to the bbc's "maybe maybe not " attitude. That said, surely more time could be given to the actual racing, given that in the one hour slot for the programe we have to take in 2 or 3 commercial breaks as well as the pre and post race commentaries.Would it not lift the series profile if given the F.1. style coverage, i.e qualifying day and live race's.

personally i dont think anyone would want to watch qualifying, IMO an hour and a quarter would make a better programme.

You can watch races live with MotorsTV of course...

The two-race format (and the usual time of the second race) doesn't make a live terrestrial broadcasts easy.

I agree that televising qualifying would be a bit pointless - it's only 20 minutes after all - although I suspect they will at Snetterton as it's on the same day as the races.

As for the amount of racing in the programme, I think ITV have been "instructed" to give a specific amount of time to features, to give the championship wider appeal.
