Seems not many people like posting about V8's on this website. Three great races at the weekend from Hamilton. Unfortunately that pesky Garth Tander won all three races. Anything anyone would like to add from the weekend, feel free!:)

Highlights are shown on Channel 4, midweek after the race at around 0100. They also show highlights of the British GT Championship too.

Its on Motors TV, usually on the Sunday between 2:30-6:30 something like that. Check the website for the calendar

I normally post a little something about the V8's (It's IMO the best touring car championship in the world) But I've had a busy week so had to Sky+ the race and watch it in 3 parts over the course of the week, finally saw the last race last night.

My little round up.

Hamilton was a great venue and provided an awesome spectacle, especially with the cars bounding over the turn 4 chicane but I do miss Pukekohe.

Tander got a well deserved tripple and although I prefer more Ford drivers than Holden I like GT and as long as those pesky Kelly brothers are kept off the podium I don't mind.

I was gutted for Whincup after he was taken out massively in the qualyfying and unable to enter any of the races.

Lowndes had a pretty decent recovery from being a punchbag in races 1 & 2 to climbing from 14th to 7th in the 3rd race.

Outstanding drive from Fabian Coulthard especially as it was his home event and he was carrying Mark Porters number it provided a very fitting tribute.

I was impressed by Shane Van Gisbergen (for a change)

Suprise suprise @ Murphy throwing his teddy out of the pram................again:rolleyes:

And Mr Gow's own James Courtney hung on well, put up a decent drive and collected a good little points haul after (from what I heard on the commentary) Alan went down to NZ and had a little word in his shell about the need for consistancy.
