Been watching some 2001 coverage and had a thought......
When Phil was banned at Oulton Egg Sport brought in Andy Priaulx, as he was a new driver he didnt have any ballast and successfully got the car to the front and mixed it up with the Vauxhall Motorsport cars. Then when Phil came back his car was low on ballast and he got a few wins and out performed James.
Is there a rule that would prevent a manufacture (eg Honda or MG) running more than one driver in their third car so that it was always low on ballast and therefore more likely to beat the Vauxhalls?
I presume there's something that stops a team just swapping between 2 drivers every other race but I'm not aware of it.
