Oh good, rivers running down the spectator banking on the infield again, and the ditch at the bottom rapidly filling up. Wiil make the racing fun though eh?

I am lucky enough to work in the National Traffic Control Centre for the Highways Agency (don't shoot me) and we have a met office person based here. I've just spoken with him and he believes that whilst there is a chance of rain at Donnington this weekend it will be intermittant (albeit heavy when it does rain) rather than all day. Basically - expect it to be sunny with periods of rain (or rainy with periods of sunshine if your're a pessimist).

So that would mean that the first 3 meets would all have been affected by rain. Don't remember a season like that for a while.

well, it's been raining like crap round here recently, so that doesn't suprise me! That said, all the time I've been to donny, it's been boiling, so it'll make a change! Not so good for all the walking to and from the busses we've gotta do though :(

Okay, seriously off topic now. According to triple 8 it's looking like Cloudy Saturday and light showers on Sunday.

Yeah - my fault. I'm at work and very bored. Which is good I suppose since I deal with accidents on our motorway network. But still...

Anyway, the Met Office agrees with Team 8:

You can get a module for firefox and I think IE from the Met Office, it's really quite interesting, as it gives you the weather from your local station. :)

You can indeed. We have it pre-installed on our computers here at the Highways Agency (as monitoring the weather is considered one a fairly important element of managing the roads).

Cos I bet if it's raining the traffic is worse and the accidents higher. Which part of the road network do you monitor?

Only 1 Race on Saturday?, Couldnt they atleast get one of the Porsche Races out of the way that day aswell? and perhaps a Formula Renault.

Looks like im gonna have to leave earlier on Sunday too >.<

Ah well, Glad the last BTCC Race isnt the last Race on the timetable like it was at the Rock.

Hopefully means it will give the car park a chance to clear up abit.

All the motorways and the primary trunk roads of England.

Statistically weather doesn't play too much of an impact on the main routes unless it is extreme weather.

You can always view the motorway cameras online too though the Highways Agency's Traffic England website:
