Apart from the usual troop of people are there any people who are new to the BTCC who'll be going to Silverstone over the weekend.

And who do think will spring a suprise.

Jamie.

Well I have a couple of mates going but they are actually not new to it - one having raced in it!

Think (and hope) Gareth will cause a few eyebrows to raise.

Jamie ~ you know we will be there! I am dragging my friend from work along on Sunday. She has never been to a race meeting before so I hope she enjoys it!

Amanda,

Decided not to do the camping thing over the weekend and frankley I can't put a tent up to save my life, so I am staying in a b&b called the Chantry Coach House in silverstone Village which is about a 5-10 Minute Walk from the circuit and all for £50:D

Does anybody know if season tickets will get you a grandstand seat and/or pit walkabout too. (I remember an awful lot of confusion about it last year).

A good question - last year I think I recall the answer was no - who is going to phone Octagon?

Yes - watch it on TV.
You won't be insulted by "security" guards, and you won't get wet.

You don't need a grandstand seat - go to the Abbey hairpin. Anyone who's played any of the TOCA games knows that this is where all the action usually is!:D

Might not bother, might go to rockingham instead.

Octagon are a complete nightmare! Last year some friends of ours managed to get grandstand tickets as they held season tickets but when we tried we were told grandstand tickets were not included!!!

I think it was 50/50 as to whether your pass gave you a seat or not. Complete nightmare and of course they have not put anything on their site to explain the rules this year so the rows will start again.

Maybe all of us season ticket holders should turn up at the grandstand at the same time, then there'll be a few people for Octagon to keep happy!

I'm sure on the season pass terms and conditions it said grandstand seats were extra. Could be worth checking though.
