i hope it happens coz it will increase the grid size and also the car is better on track than sitting empty in the garage.

good luck to edenbridge and the new driver.

Bilimoria to BTCC
13.06.03

Phiroze Bilimoria was about to join the GA Motorsports Alfa squad for the Production Class of the British Touring Car Championship this year but is instead now likely to do a deal with the Edenbridge/Mezzanine Flooring Team for their BMW 320i, joining their sole pilot in 2003 to date, ex-F3 driver Michael Bentwood.

This is a car tested in the early part of 2002 by Jamie Davies and run in the ETCC in '01 by former ARL-associated driver, Tom Ferrier.

...

The prospect of driving in the BTCC is a dream coming true for the likeable businessman who now lives in St Albans, Hertfordshire. He seeks to move on up to the top Touring Class in 2004.

Starting from the Rockingham BTCC weekend on 21/22 June, Phiroze hopes to be racing the BMW in the remaining 12 races of the 2003 series.

The only time i've seen this Phiroze Bilimoria race, was at Brands Hatch in Fiestas. He managed to roll it into the paddock gravel, although with a bit of help from Maxi Jazz.

I've never heard of Phiroze Bilimoria but if its bringing more cars into the Production Class then great...

Hyla Breese or Peter Cate may return to the Production Class soon as well, Batchelor is considering running a second Pug for Jim Junior and give his Accord to either Breese or Cate.

Good to see the Production Class getting more cars in.

Neither Pete or Hyla will be driving for Team Varta this season. Sadly. Look for news of additional drivers soon though.
