was DP mad or inspired to race on slicks when the rest of the Porsche field was on wets? If the race had been 5 minutes longer then he might have made it.
Have to say Dave had the biggest cheer as he started to catch everyone but it was a pity the TV didn't get quite so enthused as TocaRadio.

It was a brave decision, though and added to the interest! A couple of people standing next to me were taking the 'P', thinking that he was one of those no-hopers that bimble around at the back of the grid. I was thinking "Just you wait...", it's a shame that the track took too long to dry out:rolleyes:

A brave decision on Dave's part but I think it was worth the try. If the race had just been 45 minutes!!!

I was wondering what was going on before I heard what he was doing!:o

He still managed to throw in what is almost becoming a mandatory spin.

Dave has always believed in giving it everything.

If that results in giving the public something to watch then so be it ;)

There were many factors that contributed to the decision to run Dave on Slicks,- in the assembly are it had stooped raining and the sun was out, -the formula?? Race had been red flagged and a restart would have delayed the GT3 race start, - if the pace car had been deployed in the race after the fist five laps Dave would have won by a significant margin.

It was a brave shout, and given the same set of circumstances again it would be worth a go!
