Now in stock at all your local Hornby stockists is Turkingtons BMW 320si
A must for all Turkington / Scalextric fans everywhere.

Ive got one in my hands and its a fab model even down to the correct wheels and the Dunlop logo on the tires.
It even has an ickle Coling Turkington in the seat although hes wearing a silver helmet.

You don't have to race it, just buy it and put it on display.
I have 6 Scalextric sets only one of them has been used. The other five are as new just as when I bought them, oldest unused one is 14 yrs old. I also have at least 30 cars as well, plus a few spare body shells. Most of those cars have never been used either. All the cars except two are Ford's and that's only because they were part of a couple of the sets.:D
My sons have their own Scalextric to play with.

I have the plato seat and the WTCC one along with a few others, will be buying the beemers, was always the intention to build a scalextric demo layout for exhibition use (thinking brands indy but not so hilly) but never got round to it yet. Too many other modelling projects

KEZ get yourself a set xmas si coming up you can get good bargains but look at spending about £100 for something decent or try fleabay but watch the newer stuff (sport track) isnt compatible with classic (old pre late 90's)

Good idea, but it would never get played trust me. Great little cars though. Though there doesn't appear to be any 2008 models around?

In Borat accent - Nice, I like

I might have to get one to join my collection of Seats and other touring cars.

That would be a good shell for Tamiya cars aswell

A company - can't remember which - was in line to make die cast WSR ZSs in various colour schemes back in 2004. Unfortunately, after initially agreeing, MGR then withdrew their support to the idea and it never happened. A real shame.

Reidy fan - I thought you could buy conversion packs?

you can but I know scalextric stopped doing them a while ago, personally when it comes to track I picked up a load of classic a few years ago cheap and spent so much time cleaning and straightening it would have been cheaper to buy new sport, also the sport is far more grippy than the old

Kex what do you mean you wont play with it, that si the whole point, better than the playstation trust me. all my models get used particularly the railways and the rigours of touring do leave their mark, perhaps that is why I enjoy overhauling and repairing them

Ive got Convertor sections in the shop! C8222
I would personally never bother with them as the new sport track is far superior to old track.
Or if you built one section all old and one section new it would be ok ish!

You could always buy one of the little metal vectras and convert it.
At the slot car club we run 1/32 scale and 1/24th scale.

There are some great bargains on ebay if you don't mind the trawling especialy some of the older 90's cars

I recently got a Menu Laguna for a couple of quid and a plato vectra.
I haven't seen a plato Leon though, would love one.

It is not with Autosport. It is with Motorsport news. New subscribers hurry because closing deal is monday for the Turkington RAC Spark model

I have bumped this up, as I have another question, haha

I saw on the RAC shop that they are selling Turkington diecast model for about £15, and it looks the same as the ones on ebay which are about £28+ which I think are made by SPARK.

I wanted to buy one for my son and get it signed by Mr T when we go to Rockingham, but if I can get the RAC shop one for £15 and it is the same as the ebay one, that would be a result...but I am thinking it might be inferior...does anyone know?

Thanks:D
