The 2008 Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy begins at Brands Hatch on 25/26 October, and six drivers from the main championship have confirmed that they will be taking part in the contest.
Jolyon Palmer, Adam Foster and Max Snegirev are among the drivers lining up for the Autumn Trophy. Palmer finished third in the overall championship, whilst Foster claimed the accolade of top rookie driver.
They will be joined by Championship runner-up Tom Bradshaw and fourth place Richard Plant. Jack Clarke will also be competing and, after mixed fortunes this season, Clarke will be hoping to recreate his form from last year's Autumn Trophy, when he finished in third place.
The Autumn Trophy consists of three races at Brands Hatch on 25/26 October, followed by a further three races at Snetterton on 1/2 November, which also includes the FPA Shootout. The driver with the best point score from two out of three races at the Norfolk circuit will receive automatic nomination for the 2008 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award - joining FPA Champion Jason Moore on the shortlist.
Limited places now remain for the 2008 Autumn Trophy. Any drivers interested in taking part should contact Chris Dredge, FPA Championship Co-ordinator, on 01234 332439.
I also see that they have now confirmed that Niall Quinn has confirmed his entrance into the Autumn shootout.
British F3 Championship driver Niall Quinn has confirmed that he will compete in the 2008 Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy which begins on 25/26 October at Brands Hatch.
After a successful test at Bedford Autodrome, 20 year-old Dubliner Quinn was quick to commit to the Autumn Trophy which comprises of three races at Brands Hatch and three races at Snetterton on 1/2 November.
Quinn who was recently named Ireland's A1GP rookie driver, is looking forward to the upcoming Autumn Trophy: "I'm looking forward to the Autumn Trophy, the amount of track time you get over the two weekends is great. It will also be good to compare myself alongside the regular FPA drivers and those that are also going for the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award."
With several drivers who competed in the main 2008 FPA Championship already signed up, including series runner-up Tom Bradshaw, race winner Jolyon Palmer and top rookie Adam Foster, it's set to be a highly competitive series.

I also see that they have now confirmed that Niall Quinn has confirmed his entrance into the Autumn shootout.
He's a bit tall though Niall Quinn to fit in one of those cars, but he used to bang the goals in for Sunderland. :p :p :p :p :p :p

I dont get why they get a spot as a nominee for the Autosport award for this. Drivers who have worked hard for a whole championship and maybe came a close runner up in their series or something havent been nominated, yet someone who maybe likes the snetterton track can do well in just two races and get a nomination. Seems a bit unfair to me
