The recently announced entry from the Macau-based RPM Racing Team has been rejected by the FIA Touring Car Bureau. The team was supposed to enter two cars, one Honda Civic and one Toyota Altezza for the drivers Jo Rosa-Merszei and Lei Kit Meng. The decision issued by the Burau reads that: “both cars are not in keeping with the the spirit of the FIA Super 2000 regulations.” Neither of the cars have been homologated by the FIA.

The Toyota Altezza was the Japanese name for the Lexus IS as until recently the Lexus brand was not used in the area with all the cars badged as Toyotas.

WTCC have not had a problem with non-FIA homologated cars before, the Volvo C30 for example although that had national homologation.
There's been some suggestion that neither driver would get below the maximum qualifying time anyhow so it's not much of a loss.
