I guess most people would go for the Clios, but go on, surprise me!

I will be different then and go for the Porsches! I know that we need more of them out there but there is still some great racing. I really enjoyed the races at Silverstone but that might be because my friend was in the VIP car!

Overall, I'd say the historic touring cars - I've been brought up around classic cars and let's just say they're in my blood! :) As the owner of a '69 Mini Cooper, you can see where I'm coming from...

I would have gone for the Porsches BUT after spending the 2001 season watching the previous incarnation of the Supercup when it was on the F3-GT support, I think the current grid is a) a little bit thin (was used to seeing 25 plus cars in 2001) and b) the quality of the racing isn't quite up to par. (or should that be Parr? :D)

The Formula Renaults are at the opposite end of the spectrum - I'd rather be shooting them with a gun instead of a camera... Mind you, they do offer a certain entertainment value if watching abject incompetence on a racetrack is your kind of thing...

well I've been predictable and gone for clios, but its all been good (well the ones I've seen) and the Porsches are great too - just need a few more out there. The thing I like about them is the guest driver - something that the main touring car race might benefit from (but thats another thread, another time!!)

Got to agree with Reynard on this one - but Clios and Porsches a close second (especially the latter if Mr Pinkney decides to explore the scenery just so that he can have a run through the field!!! Humour us Dave - lets just have a win from the front this weekend can we?)

I can only base my opinion on the Thruxton meeting where the Clio race was a thriller, so I guess that is where my vote goes.

That said, watching one of my all time heroes, Andy Rouse, at work in the Historic Touring Car race was something very special, and brought back a lot of memories.
The Porsche race was surprisingly good as well, given the small entry, although the GT3's are so damned sexy I'd watch a field half that size.

Amen to that, Stuart :)

I just love the 911 GT3 - probably THE most elegant variant of the 911. GT3 RS is my favourite, rather than the GT3 Cup though as I think it has a bit more"presence" on the track.

We'll see how the Porsches do at Rockingham this time out - in any case, their nimble handling should suit the road course quite well.

Clio's! Always entertaining and a laugh.

Porsches are boring and only 10 cars at one round! What's happened to all the championship regulars this year?

No surprises here...

Completely biased here, but I've got to say Formula Renault. 5 rounds in and there have been 5 different winners, 2 drivers are tied for the lead in the championship and there are just 10 points covering the top 5, which is equal to the difference between 1st and 4th in a single race!

I admit that it might not always provide the best racing, but this year they've all been brilliant, and the championship battle (which so many people, including myself, thought would be completely one-sided) is turning out to be a cracker.
