Looks like Silverstone has lost f1 and gained MotoGp for the next 5 years, think Donnington is more of a bike track though, oh well.

Hi Stu,

I think I agree with you there, Donny is lovely and up and down not flat like Silverstone.

Sadly i can see Donnington turning into another Concrete Jungle like Silverstone :(

Still i'll give it a chance.

But your right, Silverstone is more suited to Car Racing.

I agree, looks like Silverstone has got it's revenge:rolleyes: The riders love Donington cus it's a great circuit to race on. I'm gonna miss seeing loads of Bikers coming into the area near race day, and hearing the racing, qualifying etc from my back garden:(

worst idea ever, donnington is the best track for bikes, silverstone is going to be boring and rubbish, they should have left F1 there and motogp at donnington!!!!

In my oppinion DONINGTON (Not double N!) is good for both cars and bikes, i mean Silverstone is jsut completely flat, no elevation changes anywhere, but in Donington it's completely different and an excellent track to go and watch car and bike racing, so yeah, it's a shame MotoGP is not at Donington anymore, but at least we will have the F1 cars plunging through the craners to look forward to (hopefully)

That case it would be your OPINION (One P ;) )
Simon Gillett has said he is very angry with what has happened, he never knew MOTOGP were talking to Silverstone, MOTOGP eventually signed with Silverstone without Donington even know talks were going about.
Im not quite sure if MOTOGP signed with Silverstone because the works for the extended track was about to take place or was it MOTOGP decided a change was needed.

This is not good news :(
Does anyone think that this will affect the numbers of people watching trackside?

apparently the reason for the change was the lack of track side security at donington, becasue last year there was a track invasion which risks lives

There's always been a track invasion, and no one has been hurt or killed. Any way, the reason why the MotoGP moved is because Silverstone bidded more than Donington did

Unfortunately not anymore, they're busy screwing it up for F1!
