The Stig formally outed

Although it has been the worst kept secret that Ben Collins is the current Stig, it seems now that the news has been formerly outed:

There is. As I've said before, thats the advantage of having an annoymous character, if you need to change drivers you can and no one knows the difference!

Will that be the sack for Ben then? Or was he just one of many? Maybe the slip was planned, as he wants to race full time, I know he and the red bull nascar team were happy with each other after a promo day last year. Autosport had arranged for Ben to do a half arsed promo drive in a spare car, and Ben set a time quicker than either of their current drivers!
On question though, who was African Stig in the Safari special? American Stig could have been Ben with a padded suit, trucker stig was ben in a different suit, but african stig hardly had a suit on, and was clearly not Ben as he was black!

My guess is that it could well be the tin tack for Ben as happened when original black suited Stig was outed.

Well, that is unless they tell us he's sacked, but in fact don't to keep the mystery going. :D

I always thought it was Anthony Reid who was the stig .

Being outed wasn't why Perry Mcarthy stopped being the Stig..........According to Perrys book, Flat Out Flat Broke (Formula1 the hard way) Which is a fantastic read. He retired from being the Stig as he was given the opportunity to drive for Audi in their early days before their current LMP1 domination and the two jobs don't mix.

apparently they have many different stigs for like driving the f1 car, the snowmobile and all the other silly things, but there is only one stig who drives the cars around the track to get the times each week..

I must admit, i did like not knowing. had that excitment about it. Like it was christmas eve and your wondering what your going to get. And then hoping your not disappointed. And to find its ben Colins, im not disappointed, truly talented.

They might have used him twice.
Round the track against the germans, and again before that when they took the DBR9 around the TG track :)
