Crash Tests

Hi Alan,

After the enormous accident between Carl Breeze and Mark Proctor at Oulton Park, I was wondering if the BTCC and the support race cars are put through any crash tests to ensure safety in such an accident?

I would imagine that this particular impact was just about the strongest impact possible between two cars and I think its incredible how well the cars stood up to it.

All modern roll-cage structures, within competition cars, have to meet or exceed very stringent design/engineering/protection requirements.....and what you saw is a perfect demonstration of the strength and integrity of those factors.
