Does anyone else here enjoy this wonderful sport? I know it can't compete with BTTC and F1 because of its location, but ch4's coverage is excellent, and it is a joy to watch these very skilled drivers race through forests, over frozen lakes, and the mud of the welsh forests.

The attempted repair of cars on public roads, the battle of driving with a broken axle, nothing quite compares for skill or bravery.

I agree the WRC is a great championship and hopefully will get even better in the future - especially in terms of TV coverage etc. However I am not convinced about the new rules the FIA are trying to introduce - esp those concerning the 3rd driver (ie that the 3rd car cannot be driven by someone who's finished on the podium in the last 3(?) seasons - which would mean Pugeot couldnt have Rovenpera or Panizzi if they kept Burns and Gronholm, and Citroen couldnt have Sainz, McRae and Loeb in their 3 cars). This has been discussed at length in the motorsport press and as far as I can tell no-one seems to think its a good idea.

Not sure what you mean by this comment. Do you mean the location of the rallies? They are pretty similar to the F1 races with one in GB, several in Europe and the rest in other areas of the world - and dont forget the British Championship which covers the majority of the country (in that respect the combination of BRC and WRC covers more of Britain than the BTCC). Or are you referring to the TV coverage which means it cant compete with F1 and BTCC?

I have to admit that the new rule is a bit stupid. Having said that it looks as though my fave driver Freddy Loix will benfit the most

I agree WRC is fan-rally-tastic! The BRC aint bad either and the best way to watch these events is as a rally marshal! Apart from the driver's seat, it's the best seat in the house!!:)
