First I have a rather smelly pug park itself along side me and then in the race he tries to join me in the crowd.

Is he trying to tell me something???

No seriously - I presume that by the time he bounced off the armco he had a lot of damage as we didn't see him again.

and to cap it all he decided to give the first chicane crowd a lovely demonstration on how close a clio can get to the wall without hitting - brilliant car control.

Ypou must have been standing near me then because it was close to hitting me too!! It came round for another pass with half the front left corner missing then as you say disappeared!

Good fun eh?! ;)

that spot is now on my 'best places to watch from' list. Amazing...

One slight niggle though - the marshalls didn't sweep the broken cars up before the Clios and Porsches came out to play... could have been a tad dangerous to tyres

I thought that the loud "WHACK!" sound meant he got a little too close... (You do mean the last lap, don't you, as we thought it was nearly a bit Jim Edwards-esque)

aahhh now I didn't hear the whack! I just saw him heading straight for the barrier then swerving sideways and stopping alongside and then carry on. I really thought he was going hit very hard head on.

Watched the TV coverage and no mention of the Pug crump until he limped into the pits - quite a bit of damage there

There wasn't too much damage to his Clio. Just a few scrapes and black marks.

Good race, and the best place to see crashes at Croft.:D
