Call me a cynic if you want, but, although previously the race reports in the DT have been excellent (half a page or so, large photo, etc); this week's report is about 2 column inches tucked away in the back. Coincidentally, this is the first weekend this year when Vaux.. sorry VX Racing haven't won a race. And who are VX sponsored by? That's right, the Daily Telegraph

The ones i've read before are the same TOCA press releases that are available on tocatour.com and other sites.

I assure you that the press releases you read are not what you read in the Telegraph. I don't recall any war of words reports (egs. Collard v Pyper, Muller v Reid) have appeared in any press releases. They have in the Tel, however. Likewise the shape of the race reports as a whole. These stem from journalists doing their jobs and interviewing drivers either in the press conference or doing a lot of legwork and nailing them on their own in the paddock.

I don't believe the Telegraph scaled down their BTCC coverage this weekend just because Vauxhall didn't win ... you're reading far too much into this (no pun intended). I now for a fact that a late news story meant they had to re-draw their page lay-out on Sunday evening for Monday morning's edition.

Sure, the Tel are Vauxhall-linked, but they do give a balanced view of what's happened in the races. Eg. if you read the Silverstone reports, there was a large piece on MG with a large pic two ZSs in action.
