I have to take my hat off to the man. He has proved some of this seasons best racing moments with the outside pass of James Thompson at Croft being one of the best I have ever seen -

So when he is fired up, Gio can really turn on the style but can the man mount his challenge today?

I second that, I think that has been the moment of the season for me too if I had to nominate one out of all rounds that one absolutely stands out, and yep I think Gio absolutely is the main challenge to Colin Turkington's title ambitions. I think Turks is going to have to reach deep and pull out all the stops to hold Gio off. I myself wouldn't mind either one winning as I think they are both very deserving and top quality drivers.
I did think at times for the first half of the season Gio didn't seem to have his
usual 'inner drive' to go for this year's title BUT he has come out firing on all cylinders this second half. Having said that he did just enough steadily scoring points each round in the first half to now be within relatively easy striking distance of the title so possibly method in his seeming 'madness' and use of strategy over the season...conserving energy LOL ;)
I've said before that I think this season has been an on a platter opportunity for the less experienced drivers to learn from the experienced ones... and there's few better than Gio to watch and learn from IMO.
p.s. Thanks for the link to that vid.
