Bernie has given Silverstone 48 hours to sign a contract or he will pull the British G.P off the calendar and that would be so disappointing :(

To be honest, I don't care if there's no British GP on the calender, and im not saying that because im irish or anything, but so long as there's race for me to watch, i'll watch them regardless of the track. :)

how can history of a very much loved track by the teams and drivers compare to the modem boring tracks in the middle east which all look the same, they can't. The only thing they have going for them is the millions and millions and pounds invested in them and the greedy F1 management who is willing to overlook the view of the drivers and teams once more

Year after year Silverstone hosts a sell out crowd of a 100000 people and yet Bernies's willing to throw that away for some dull Tilkedrome in the middle of a nowhere that less than half that number of people attend.

Here's hoping Silverstone can get it together and keep the British GP alive because if it's off the calendar next year you can bet Bernie won't be in a hurry to revive it.

would the loss of the british gp really be such a loss to motorsport here, perhaps the 100k fans that go to sillystone each year and get ripped off with tickets etc might go to a national or club meeting and enjoy real racing in a far more friendly enviroment.

personally i wouldnt pay to go to a gp and i am not in a hurry to volunteer and marshal for it neither, give me a good club meeting with full grids and real racing anyday

But they wont though .... The majority of those fans go to one round a year and remain armchair fans after that. All the loss of the British GP would mean is they can save money, buy a bigger TV and watch the F1 on that instead.
