I see the new V8 championship has another new manufature giving its permission to use one of its cars. They reccon there are now 4 different types of car being made of next year, I have only heard of the Jag and the Peogeot. Anyone know what the other two are?
I do not think or am hopeing that this championship will take anything away from the BTCC. In my eyes nothing could do that, well maybe if the scV8's looked and sounded like the DTM, which to me have to bw the best looking and sounding touring cars in the world, but not always the best for raceing. Out of all the races this year the Merc has won all and Audi have won 1. In the BTCC 3 didferent cars have won races and seem to be more competetive for new manufacutres.
And lets not go into the ETCC, but I will say no to, no pit stops and shorter races in the BTCC next year because of the ETCC. Glad there are allowed in, but not if they mess with a good formular.

A similar situation exists in Gernany where the V8 Star series runs as well as the DTM.
Britain has space for both series, which are actually quite different, as the Supercar V8s all run a spec chassis with different body shells - just as the V8 Star series does.
I personally can't wait to see the new championship, but will still be following the BTCC as close as ever.
