Hi to you all in the forum. I have just registered and am keen to be involved. I'm a Muller fan (sorry if that upsets anyone) and hope he does well this year by wiining the championship. To get a debate going here's a thought for you all. It seems to me that this years Honda's are fine with little or no xs ballast but just cant stand the strain of having max ballast in them. Does that not show just how much further the Vauxhalls are in their development or is it just down to better drivers in the tripple eight organisation? Happy to debate at any stage. Neil L.

Welcome, I too am a Muller fan, was not able to get to Brands to see the races and dont have motors tv or missed all the action, I have read reports about what happened, but still can not say what happened. Not sure about what all the fuss isa bout the Park Furme, but can only asume that his out burst was because he feels so strongly about winning the BTCC title this year having missout for the last two years. It will not change my view if him as its on the track that matters, and that is why I like him. His robust, give it everything style is why we support Muller and hope he wins the championship this year.:D
As for the Hondas. Not sure about that, but it just seems that the 888 Vauxhalls have a good set up when going heavy or light. The Honda is a fast car and I think that they have not worked out how to set up the car for the heavy load, where as Vauxhall are used to carrying all that weight, so have perfected the setup to deal with it.
Good to see MG take two wins, looks good for the championship.
MG were soon to make up its mind on if it is to carry on in the BTCC next year and to have scored a double means it looks likely they will be with us again next year. What do you think???

Hi croft man. I'm sure you are right about Mullers total commitment and hence his all out focus that brought on the outburst. I was on the first corner at Croft this year when Paul O'Neil took out Muller and his body launguage said it all. I would have liked to have heard the conversation between them after the race. But I suppose all of these guys in the top teams want to win just as much or why be there in the first place. I think Matt Neal's remarks this weekend about leaving him out of any rough stuff were out of order when you consider that he has dished out as much as anyone else in this years races and in previous years as well! It was interesting to read your comments on the weight differences and your explanation of Vhalls ability to deal with the heavy car. The weight clearly hurts them as well but they do seem to have managed to still get a consistant performance out of a heavy car. It could be a problem next year if the existing BTCC cars are weight hanicaped to bring the ETC cars into a competative possition. I say this because if you then add winning balast that's a double hit for existing teams. Like you I do hope the MGs are still with us next year because whilst I think Anthony Read is getting close to his sell by date, there is no doubt thatthose cars look the business and do bring a dimention to the racing that we need to keep. I didn't get to Brands but my son said that in his opinion Read deserves some penalty for his action on the restart from behind the safety car that pushed Muller off. I suppose we will just have to wait and see? My next track visit will be to the last meeting at Oulton as it's my local circuit. I hope that the championship goes down to the wire with all the issues being decided on the track and not by either mechanical problems or driving tactics. Talk to you chaps soon I hope? Neil L.

Just wanna point out that O'Neill was forced onto a big kurb by Muller and thats why they made contat so Muller had no right to have a go at Paul....
