Okie Dokie Ladies and Gentlemen and Kerry

The 2010 season of WTCC Commences the weekend after Next

The Field is very Much Reduced in my View much better

Yvan Muller has jumped ship to Chevrolet
BMW are now a 2 Car Team instead of 5
Seat are no longer an Official Manufacteur although a 4 Car TDI team could still be a Potential Threat
Lada have fallen off the Face off the Earth
Plus your fair share off Independent Drivers including Mr Hazza

So my Question to you all is when we reach Macau in November time, Who will be WTCC Champion Number 6? (7 if you include 1987 :p)

Will Tarquini make it Back to back Titles?
Can Mr Muller Win back the Title
Could Priaulx get himself a 4th Title?
Perhaps Menu will add to his 2 BTCC Titles
or Maybe Huffy or Farfus will finally do it this Year
Could we even be shocked and get an Independent winning the ioutright Title? (nah :p)

None the less Im actually quite looking forward to this season of WTCC more than i have others.

Huffy for me, I just have a feeling it'll be Chevvys year - and the signing of Yvan is a masterstroke, no disrespect to Larini, but i'd rather have Yvan any day.

Andy and Augusto can win it, whether they will is going to depend on a cool head for Farfus.

SR-Sport - they have a chance, but not being a works team will hurt em.

I've got a feeling that Andy Priaulx's going to do something special this year!

I'd love for Andy Priaulx to do it but my head says Yvan Muller. The Cruze in its second season will be a formidable car, even more so with the Frenchman on board.

Would love a brit to to win the series this year but I just have a feeling too that Yvan in a Chevy is a pretty tough combination to beat.

My top contenders are:

Chevvy - Muller / Huff
SEAT - Tarquini / Coronel (I hope)

I think BMW will be playing 3rd string in that battle.

I'm not a fan of the man, but he's a great racer, so I think that Monsieur Muller will do the biz now he's in the Chevvy.

I hope this will finally be Alain's year!:)

He hasn't been up to his BTCC standard in the WTCC at all, can't see him even being in the Top 5 tbh.

My money's on Muller. In my opinion he is the best touring car driver of the decade.

Cant see how people think Huffy will win it. Muller is a better driver in the same car, can see him walking away with it to be honest.

correct it does

How?

I'm sorry - Yvan is one of the GREATEST ever Touring Car drivers you'll see - maybe not in Championships, but as an all round package - he ain't a bad driver.

Scott has also forgotten that the greatest rally driver ever .... Sebastian Loeb .... is french :)

Just some stupid anti-french thing i suspect, even though i expect the french have never done anything wrong to him

Let me get this right, Muller is crap because he is French?

How does that explain him being;
1x WTCC Champ with 4 wins
1x BTCC Champ with 6 wins
1x French Supertouring Champ with 4 wins
1x British Formula 2 Champ with 9 wins

in total, Yvan Muller has accumulated 70 wins over his career on tarmac and that's nothing until you look at his Andros Trophy career where he has won the event a total of 10 times (7 of them being in a row), all the other drivers who have won it, only won it twice in a row before either not competing again or just being beaten to the win.

Come on you lot, don't take everything so seriously...

It's neither here nor there that he's French. I don't particularly like him, but supported him as he was in a SEAT.

Yvan is an awesome driver, IMO he will walk away with the title this year.

Dunno why people hate him, I met him at Snetterton a few years back and thought he was a really nice chap.

ignorant?

Thats fair enough, if your not a fan of the guy, but why didnt you just say "im not a fan of Mullers, so hope he doesnt win" instead of saying "but mullers french enough said"

Anyway back on topic, I believe Muller will win it and is doing a good job so far :)

I've been given the cold shoulder by some drivers before, but it doesn't make me feel any different about them. (Y)
