Here's a thread to talk about all things WTCC this weekend.
I missed most of qualifying, though I love the liveries of SEATs and Chevvys. :D
Was great to see Harry on the TV and while he didn't qualify too high, here's hoping he has a great race.
What do you think?

more disel seats than ever this year which i think is gonna ruin wtcc on a lot of tracks, once they sort out whos who qualifying and 1st race are gonna be disel dominated. prilaux and farfus really need at least one more team mate to help them. chevie seem to have taken the biggest jump forward in performance with their cruze and it wil up there on the tracks that dont suit the disels, sadly i dont see bamboo really doing to much, they were mid pack in btcc at best and wtcc gives them new tyres, new tracks, new driver aka one very steep learning curve

The TDi's aren't as dominant though - yes, 5 of them got through to Q2, but 3 of them are at the back end of the top 10.
Chevrolet are looking like the team to beat - and as the next round is Marrakesh, could be looking at 3 wins from 4 races, I just have a feeling Andy will win race 2 today

Pretty much the usual boring WTCC procession, but a good solid drive from Huffy - looks like he's going to push Muller all the way (hope so ;))

It wasn't the greatest race in the world, but I think the track is pants and startin behind the safety car didn't help, it was better than watchin Chelsea anyway :D

He's number 3 in the team, so will probably have to expect that kind of treatment sometimes.

Is he? I thought he was no.2? Performed much better than Menu throughout several seasons!

To be honest, I was disappointed with WTCC. First time I have watched it because of Harry V being in it. It lacks the excitement and thrills and spills of BTCC. Team tactics are also used more prominently, 6 TDI's drafting in qualifying just didn't look right to me.

Every BTCC team does that though, just not on the larger scale

Not the Most Thrilling Races it has to be Said..
Hopefully it will pick up when they arrive in Europe and we get more Cars..
Always starts pretty slow in Brazil anyway
and it's been the same for the Past 3 Years
Race 1: Muller Wins
Race 2: Tarquini Wins
Atleast the Chevys got a Good start this Year
If Mexico isnt Happening we got 2 Months till the next Round ¬.¬

Official announcement on Puebla being postponed coming tomorrow.
Not the best races we'll see - Martin Haven said that the BeeEmms are looking to switch to the 6 speed gearbox.
Looks like it'll be Chevvy's year - and a huge shoutout to bamboo and our very own Hazza, 3rd in the Independents overall, bamboo are second in the teams. Well done to bamboo engineering!

Was a bit of a slow start to the season at the moment.
Though I enjoyed watching the liveries of the cars, especially the SEATs and Chevvies.
Well done to Harry for finishing both races and getting a good Independents points haul in.

Hopefully BMW will be allowed to run the 6 speed sequential box with no weight increase. Thats what the commentators were saying that they have asked for dispensation for.
I imagine the fact that only BMW have committed to a "new world engine" for 2011 onwards will be a bit of a bargining chip with the FIA / KSO to get the dispensation through.
BMW desperately need another works team-mate too.
With Mexico being cancelled or postponed it will be a logistical nightmare, I imagine the freight ship to bring the cars back to Europe / Morocco for the beginning of May is already booked. I suppose the Mexico event could be postponed for a maximum of a couple of weeks without upsetting the rest of the calendar.
Looks like the championship will be between Tarquini and the Chevy boys though. Will be interesting to see how ballast affects the cars from the 4th race weekend onwards

Just about sums it up.....the most interesting thing was the paint jobs - the rest was rather like watching the paint drying. Thought Thommo's commentary was entertaining, though.

Hit the nail on the head there. What a waste of what could be a great championship. Why does the FIA always end up with processional races. But your right, i thought thommo was good. nice to hear a racing drivers side of things who has been there done that when explaining some technical points.
