So what do people think is going to happen this weekend then. Will McLaren win in the all British line up? Will Ferrari be top where most people think they will be? Will Schumacher take a shock win or will Red Bull start the season off with a bang? Or a shock result for a team like Sauber or Force India.

I predict it will be Fernando Alonso who wins the first race but could be anyone of eight drivers really.
Let's just hope it is a cracker of a race.

Im backing Red Bull, probably more through my heart than brain, but I think with all the focus on Ferrari/McLaren/Schumacher over the winter, they have been able to get on with their own business and might sneak a suprise to Alonso, Hamilton and co.

First Practice:

1 A Sutil Force India
2 F Alonso Ferrari
3 R Kubica Renault
4 F Massa Ferrari
5 J Button McLaren
6 L Hamilton McLaren
7 V Liuzzi Force India
8 N Rosberg Mercedes GP
9 M Webber Red Bull
10 M Schumacher Mercedes GP
11 J Alguersuari Toro Rosso
12 N Hulkenberg Williams
13 S Vettel Red Bull
14 S Buemi Toro Rosso
15 R Barrichello Williams
16 V Petrov Renault
17 P de la Rosa BMW Sauber
18 K Kobayashi BMW Sauber
19 H Kovalainen Lotus F1
20 J Trulli Lotus F1
21 T Glock Virgin Racing
22 L di Grassi Virgin Racing
23 Senna Hispania Racing F1
24 K Chandhok Hispania Racing F1

Not really sure how much you can read into this. Except its a bit obvious the new teams are going to be having their own little race at the back, and maybe Sauber wont spring as much as a suprise as expected? Hope Force India can continue this pace and cause a shock or two. Rosberg and Hulkenberg quicker than their much more experienced team mates (how long will that last? :) ) and first blood to Button ;)

You have to remember we dont know the fuel loads any of them are using. And there is also a huge fuss being kicked up about Mclaren whos drivers can apparently close a vent stalling the rear wing giving them a greater straight line speed.

Second Practice looks like a test session. Most teams are doing heavy fuel long runs. Should give a slightly better view of what each car can do during the race.

So F1 is back for 2010!!

Saw today's Practice Sessions, The action on the track was a little quiet, But good to see Schumacher back, was always a fan of him, can't wait to see what he can do in Quali and the Race.

Really lovely to see Massa back to, I have also been a fan of his for a long time, and was absolutely deverstated when he had that accident in Hungary last year, so pleased for him and his family that he is back in an F1 Car, hope he has still got it.

As for the BBC coverage, Great Red button stuff today. Crofty and Maurice were a good laugh, and Jake Humphery even popped in during P1. I even got my Text read out by Crofty, It was asking him and Maurice who they thought would be Pole and Race Winner this weekend. They had a disscussion about it for a couple of mins, and even crossed live to Pit Lane reporter Holly for her thoughts. Great Stuff :), Might try the red button for Quali and Race, they have David Coulthard with them for P3, Jackie Stewart for Quali and Jack Villeneneuve for the race.

Also, I noticed something good today, They have put the Practice sessions on the I Player, so if you miss them on Red button, you can see them again without knowing the result.

I have bookmarked this link for the season - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/search/?q=f1

Well done to everyone who predicted a Red Bull on pole. ;) Providing he has everything on his side of course, i don't think he'll be touched. And good luck to him!

Extremely pleased for my Red Devils tho....back up where they belong. :p

Exciting stuff tho, really looking forward to the rest of the season. :)

Ferrari's 'should' walk the race if the 'experts' are right in saying they have a much better race pace than the Red Bulls, but we shall see.

Just me who is glad Schumacher didnt do well, all the hype has gone wrong :D

I'm glad he came back but for his own legacy he should have stayed away lol. Don't think it'll be anything more than a mediocre season for Schuy.

I have to say I think the performance of the day was Karun Chandock. Hadnt turned a wheel before Quali and yet got to within two seconds of Bruno Senna. I think in a decent car Karun would be up front without a doubt.

Decent effort from Schuey, he's still getting back into the swing of things. The car isn't superb so we'll see what happens. Despite Rosberg being quicker than him so far, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Michael finish ahead, as his racecraft is second to none. As for a winner, I think it will be one of the two ferraris, apparently Red Bull have had real problems with tyre wear in testing but we shall see!

I think it is going to be a Vettel win to be honest. Schumacher I think will go up the field as well maybe 4th or 5th. Jenson and Lewis seem to be struggling a bit this weekend. Although I think Massa and Alonso to be 2nd and 3rd as well.

I perssonelly wouldn't want to back a winner at the Min, I think anyone in the top 11 could win if Im honest.

I'm not so sure the experts are right this time! As soon as Vettel got pole yesterday, i had a feeling he would just disappear. He's very good when he's out in front on his own. Unless he has a problem of somesort, he should win it. ;) As long as the Ferraris are on the podium, its all good. :D

As for Michael, i think it'll take him a while to adjust but he's hanging on. ;)

I reckon we'll get some exciting races once we hit Europe, throw in the wet weather and all that - Monaco could be fun

Have to say that 55 metre rule in the pits is a bit pointless however it could make tracks like Monaco or any with a small pit lane fun.

I like many others did fall asleep whilst watching this Formula Bore race. :(

I have not seen (or should that be missed) such a dull race in a long time. Its a real shame it has started like this, as everyone has been expecting the sport to be revitalised by the rule changes. Based on this first outing, it has sadly made it worse than ever. Lets face it, Mr Schumacer did not sound very impressed either.

Lets just hope the teams and drivers were playing this first race safe with fuel comsumption and tyres and will "go for it" a bit more in 2 weeks time.
