Prediction Championship Round 1 Thruxton

The BTCC season starts in Hampshire, as the fast flowing Thruxton circuit plays host to rounds 1,2 and 3 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. It will be the first real indication of true pace and as such and could there could be some unexpected results.

I know that Triple 8 have yet to announce the 2 drivers that they will be entering. However, what I am proposing is that predictions are made as per usual, but I will allow you to change your predictions when Triple 8 announce, but only if you are putting 1 of their drivers in your prediction.

The BTCC was back with a bang at Thruxton, with Fabrizio Giovanardi coming away with 2 wins. Steven Kane also got his first BTCC win on a great weekend for Motorbase. The Prediction Championship also started and with a fair few new faces as well. The late Triple 8 announcement saw 3 people change the predictions they had made. Lets see how the first round went and if the reigning champion simon1220 has made a good start to his defence. It was one of the lowest scoring rounds in memory and here are the all important results.

The start of a new season and it is a new face that tops the leaderboard. Soper_Doper takes top spot with 11 Points. Getting points in every race plus predicting that 'Flash' Gordon Shedden would get the pole seperates him from prediction veteran Charlie J and fellow newcomer Shortride who both got 10. Simon1220 has a steady start to the season by getting 8 points along with 7 others with 8 points being the score that was most accrued.

Round 2 sees the BTCC travel to Rockingham and a new thread will be set up for that round.
