Is it me of have Lotus improved and catching the tail of the established teams?

I have a feeling that if there's an incident in Q1 then Lotus could make it into Q2. Any thoughts?

There still over a second away, there improving and catching but will be a while till there up with them. Obviously if there is an incident one will get through, but that wont be down to speed, just luck.

Unless the weather is changeable, then Lotus haven't got a hope in hell, not at least until Barcelona anyway.

Tomorrow's race should be very good and unpredictable if qualifying was anything to go by.

With a lot of the Championship contenders starting from the back, look for them making their way through to the front:D

Will be tuning into this tomorrow morning at Thruxton :D Anyone at the track tomorrow wants to watch this before the action starts, goodwood restuarant were showing qualifying earlier so guess they will do the same with the race tomorrow. Qualifying was .... interesting, I appeared to be the only one in the restuarant who was happy when Button spun out :p But having the ones from the back getting through the pack will be fun to watch, while I expect Red Bull to pull away at the front .... until they inevitably break down :(

My oh my do I love Sutil for keeping Hamilton behind. :D

On the other hand, I got bored of the race and at the best of times just turned it over and watched something else.

Sutil, you genius! Anyone who keeps Hamilton behind goes up in my estimate!
Impressive performance by Alonso until the penultimate lap that is
Shame for Mickey Schu, retiring so early
And well done to the Red Bulls
And thank god BTCC is back today, something to keep me awake :)

Watched the first 13 laps in Goodwood restuarant, but got saved by Pit walkabout. Looked pretty boring and heard it was after i stopped watching, but so glad Vettel and Webber got a 1-2 :D

It really is sad:(. There seems to be a lot of people who dont like Lewis Hamilton. Its blatently obvious that the FIA dont like him, Bernie cant stand him, Mark Webber isnt a fan either, and clearly a number of people on this forum want to see him lose, but you cant deny his talent he started 20th and finished in sixth place, I didnt see anyone else achieve a better finish from their starting position, and there were plenty of former champions on the track.

Well Done Vettel:D credit where its due

Not really a fan of F1, but I don't get this anti-Hamilton stuff.

Typical British mentality - build them up, knock them down.

Talented yes, nice guy yes, and nowhere in my post does it say I don't like Lewis Hamilton. I am more of a Button fan tbh. The fact is I don't support McLaren. Simple as that.

The penny drops. To be fair I didnt pay that much attention to this, I thought Sauber have a similar system and I thought Ferrari were working on the same. Lewis seemed to be the one making it work for him.
The 2010 version of the double diffuser row then. ;)

Sauber tried one in Australia Practice and took it off. In all honesty, none of the other teams will be able to implement it in the same way that McLaren have, as McLaren have designed it into the cockpit tub and activating it via the driver. As the "tub" itself is fixed for the season, it will have to be external (Like Sauber's).

The only other team who could take advantage and add the "F Vent" onto the car is Virgin Racing, who were giving permission to rebuild the car to fit the proper sized fuel tank.

Well done Lewis for that climb up from nearly the back of the grid as well as button! :D:D

Very happy for Nico Rosberg to make it up to 3rd place, certainly showed Schumacher who is number one in that team! :p

I can't really say much else as I was editing photos at the same time when we watched it Monday morning.

The earlier start time helped. Last year it was just a little bit later so it rained...hard!

Did it rain after the race finished this year? would have been interesting to see how it was have panned out if the heavens opened within 30min-1hr after the race finished. (with last years start time)

Yeah that's true (I completely forgot), but to be honest, Virgin's main concern is the fuel tank, which as i'm sure you can understand is a bit more important :D

Fairly enjoyed this race, maybe because anything has to be better than the first race in Bahrain.

Its a shame that Mark "err" Webber did not err hold the err lead in to the err first err corner, as I would err have loved him to err win.

Could this be Redbull's year?

The topsy turvey qualifying has cetainly kept the championship table nice and close.
