Apparently Muller has made a public appology on TOCATOUR.co.uk and says he's only human and not perfect. Frankly I think his behaviour and overall attitude are disgusting and Why should he get away with a small penalty for affectivly assaulting another driver

He also said he and Reid shook hands after and they'll "be having a couple of drinks togethor in a few races" Talk about publicity stunt, he just tryed to lay into him and said he has never made a god mood in his life, now he's seen the anti-Mullerness of it and tryed to sound liek the good guy

Sorry but i'm gonna stick up for Muller here. I'm no Muller fan, but he's obviously under pressure for the title and the things he did was not really the actions of a person completly under control. He's French anyway so I would expect that behavior.
But booing him if he wins the title is just petty and childish.

Cheers, It think that what I've said is about as accurate as it can be.
Cast your mind back to Silverstone 2001 when he an Plato had a barging match and then he refused to shake hands after the race. Now this very public outburst in Parc Ferme wouldn't you agree with what I'm saying. It's about time that something was done about it and an 11 day ban sn't the solution.

I wonder who wrote the appology for him - PR - not Muller's terminology - " have a couple of drinks" - Muller doesn't drink !!!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Still think what he did was wrong. Not only were there loads of people around, there were also loads of Children too.
I wish Ried thumped him one back! I mean what an insult to be pushed onto a Proton!

I dont think anyone would be as mean as to push someone onto a Proton....plus I wouldnt wanna see Reid hit him back

Personally I feel that if Reid has accepted his apology (i dont know that he has) then we all should. he is under a lot of pressure - and no racing driver likes to be pushed off the track. he just snapped.

I made a mistake at work today. :(
A pretty horrendous one and crashed the main computer. Took quite a while for data to be unscrambled, users logged back on and things to return to normal. Must have lost half a days work for a whole factory.
I apologised and hopefully all is forgiven. I didn't lose my job, I didn't get fined or anything (except maybe lose a bit of face and some sleep tonight)
We all make mistakes and some of us do it in front of a lot of people.
Yvan has apologised for his mistake - enough said.

Les,
I agree 100% with you. I know we were all very upset when this happen but what is done is done and I think we should forget about the incident and look forward to the final two meetings of the year. I think the booing petition for Oulton Park should be stopped I don't think it wiuld be very fair on the parties involved.
who else agrees with this

I agree, I didnt start a petition as such, it wasnt a proper petition, just a hyperthetical "it would be funny if...." thing. Although i slightly disagree with the "we all make mistakes" part, pretty bad mistake to assault a driver.
Lets just hope MG have a strong finish to the year and that Thommo beats Muller......even better, both retire in all 4 of the last races and O'Neill wins the championship lol :D

A great deal gets said immediately after this kind of incident which always provokes differing opinions. It certainly provoked me, I had a whinge to Alan Gow (my first ever). At the end of the day, Yvan Muller probably deeply regrets it, and Anthony Reid has put it down to experience and moved on. What we should do now collectively is look forward to Donington and hope that the racing we witness is of the high quality people like Anthony and Yvan are very obviously capable of exhibiting.
Wouldn't it be great if Thommo bagged two wins ??

Yeah, i'm lookin forward to Donnington, I think that Honda will be strongest and with Neal being as light as you can and Thommo pretty light, it'll be between them two, would be good to see some MG podiums again too. Ive put Monday behind me now, ive just lost all the respect left that I had for Muller, that's all that has changed as far as im concerned
