SMRC kicks off at Knockhill this weekend. I'm sure it will be a good day of racing from a variety of categories including Formula Ford, Mini Cooper, Fiesta XR2/ST, Saloon & Sports Cars, Classic Sports and Saloon and my favourites Legends.

I'm going along to enjoy the day which means I'm keeping my promise to support local club events. Is anyone else going to be there on Sunday?

going to be there in my nice (relatively) clean orange romper suit

think this season could be a cracker, lots of newbies coming racing, massive field of classics with 60 registered entries, talk of going to 4 races for them so everyone can play, good few new build fiesta ST's even f-fords are going to have a decent sized grid this year

only bad thing is having to be out of my pit at 4.30 am and on the road at 5.30. blooming M80 roadworks:mad:

It may have been a bit soggy for most of the day but I thoroughly enjoyed the racing on Sunday. The rain certainly makes things interesting. Can't wait til the next meeting now

If anyone is interested, I've put some pics of the day here

I was a bit miffed that I hadn't done the charity driving challenge this year when I found out what the prize was for the highest fundraisers - being taken round the track by Gordon Shedden!!!

Yes it was blinking freezing and we had several layers of clothes on. Thank goodness for hot chocolate!!!

We are indeed supporting Fiona.
