Being reported elsewhere that James Thompson has split from Hartman racing for the etcc, dtc/stcc. Be good to see him back in the btcc if someone can find the cash for him. (fingers crossed)

Sucks for the Guy..
As much i would always welcome him back to BTCC, I would like to see him be Succesful elsewhere aswell... He is definatly more than Capable off being a WTCC front Runner..
Nevermind, Im sure if Chevrolet or Honda were looking for a 3rd Driver, Thommo could be their man

But if a different driver came along with a nice big sponsorship package, would they turn him down?

Entirely depends what agreement they have in place with Turk.

No doubt Sheddon is double checking his contract doesn't include the words 'James Thompson, available, door and exit.'

They wouldn't, that car is fully available for any driver who has the required funding as it was last season. They aren't going to turn someone down on the off chance that Colin may find funding in future. I don't think it's likely that Thompson will turn up there though.

Another site reports that Thompson left Hartmann because of requirements from Thommo's engineer and staff that the team felt unreasonable to honour and Thommo doesn't want to race without them.
