Anyone know of a crashed Leon road car to transplant the innards and make an awesome track car? :D

Yeah i found this the other day whilst searching for BTCC Memorabilia on EBAY
I did post a thread but it seems to have disappeared into thin air!
As you say this would be a great project for someone, i always found that livery very striking and with the Rays alloys, i think it looks quality

And a gearbox, Electronics etc. I Beleive Seat Engines aren't the cheapest to obtain and run as well.

Would anyone like to explain why this car is right hand drive?

Hi guys, may have been a display car, alot of car makers make display cars from pre production shells,as the can't be put on the road.
The Seat appears to have no fitting holes for air jacks, and has not got a "full" carbon frontend as per the original BTCC/WTCC cars.
That said,no reason why it could'nt be built into a great track day tool

I don't know, but can confirm that Darren's race car was left hand drive:

I don't think it was the show car they had at Silverstone 2008 outside the hospitality as I picture I have of it is Left had drive.

I've checked my 07 pics and the SEATs were left hookers then too.

Just looked again ot the ebay pics, appears to have bolts on the wheels ,not studs and nuts.
The plot thickens..........................lol

Well I am pretty damn sure all the S2000 Leons that have been built are LHD, I do remember a RHD show car at Brands in 08 though, so it might be that. ;)

Think i may have sat in that!
Was at a dealer event and they had a right hooker demo car with no engine in it. It had the previous seasons livery on it but im sure that would be easy changed!

It'll be this car: http://www.flickr.com/photos/iainw81/1924389102/in/set-72157603022070729/
It first appeared at Knockhill in 2005. It was an RHD Seat Sport UK-built showcar from a roadcar shell.

Agreed. If you compare the under bonnet photo with that of a real BTCC car there's a number of obvious differences.
I don't want to accuse the seller of being deliberately dis-honest as he may not actually know what he is selling (none of his other items for sale are remotely motorsport related), but this isn't an un-raced spare shell.

Send him an email or message or something and let him know.

I'm guessing its the mock up they had on the SEAT Sport Stand outside the hospitality suite in '08
As I recall they had what seemed to be a full spec S2000 car, then an FR in the touring car livery, then a plain yellow Cupra Cup Car
I'm guessing its the first car i listed
