It was with total disbelief that I watched the Porsche race start its second lap on Sunday!
The stewards of the meeting should look very closely at the way they responded (or should I say DIDNÃ*T respond) to the most obvious false start I have ever seen!
The whole fiasco is a very sad way to end the year, and if Porsche UK do not make representation to the RACMSA over the incident it could seriously undermine the credibility of a good championship.
As for the race report on the Porsche web site.ó
ìThe rolling start was a real mix up with poleman Jason Templeman (TCR) swamped as the pack set off. In the confusion, Westbrook (TCR) and David Pinkney (Barwell Motorsport) were also badly delayed as Horne (Team Parker Racing) grabbed the lead from a fast-starting Gavin Pyper (Porsche Cars GB) and Cole (Datapulse Pegasus/RPM). ì
This has to be the most misleading piece of journalism I have ever read!
