Just to say well done Yvan Muller for finally getting his hands on the BTCC trophy. It is well deserved. And I was just happy to be there to see it. He looked extatic on the podium truck after the first race.
Hope he stays to defend his title next year.

Well done Mr.Muller!
Wonder if anyone booed him?
Lets hope 2004 is gonna be better than the disappointing 2003. I have a good felling about 2004. It's gonna be good.

Muller definitely deserved his crown this year after coming so close in the previous two. I hope he'll come back and defend it as well.:)

he looked mighty chuffed and last night was enjoying some larking about - a very different Yvan to the rest of the year. Great to see.

A small number of muppets tried booing him at the podium presentation, but it just made everyone else cheer louder and they were easily drowned out! They then shut up and went off in a huff with their tails between their legs...

The only booing or jeering I heard during the podium was for the Motors TV cameraman who decided to stand in front of Yvan as he was holding the trophy thereby blocking the view of the photographers. Somebody at TOCA have a word!

There was some booing at Knickerbrook, rather unsporting I think, sadly I know some of those responsible. I think I'm one of the only MG supporters that likes Yvan and respects his skills as a great driver. Most of them are newcomers to the sport and know little of Yvans time in the BTCC.
So Yvan if you happen to read this:

That's right. I noticed a few kids had slipped away from their parents. When they reach puberty they may or may not decide motor racing is their thing.

I'm with the croft fan here, yes I'm a Muller fan but the winner at OP on Sunday was the BTCC. I have never seen that number of people at Knickerbrook and the racing was great and from what I saw down there without malace. Again I know I'm a V/hall man but the MG's were magic to see as was M.N with a light Honda. The drive of the day however for me was P.ON in race two. I watched as he made up five places on good class oposition. I was interested to read Mr Gows comments in the programme and to hear him say that he thought that we are missing the big names. I suppose we can all think of names that he is thinking of but I cant see the big names coming back without some major teams coming in for 2004. Having said all of that my hat gets raised to the works teams that have backed and continue to back the series. Even more I can't begin to express my thanks to the independants who put up their own cash and beg borrow or dare I say seal to keep their tourers on the grid week in and week out. What a great years racing whoever you may have supported in 2003.
