Totally random point and not excluisive to BTCC but I was watching a National Saloon Car race from 2000 yesterday where Dan Eaves was referred to as 'Daniel'. This got me thinking (dunno why) but Matt Neal was always Matthew until relatively recently (96/97 ish) and if you watch the early 1990 reviews its really weird when Murray calls him Matthew Neal.
Anyone got any other drivers whose names just dont sound right in there proper form.....??
-Stephen (steven?) Soper
-William Hoy
-Timothy Harvey
-Philip Bennet
-Andrew Priaulx
-Thomas Boardman/Kristensen/Erdos
On the other hand theres Tony Reid!! Just doesnt sound right somehow!!
Anymore?
No prize on offer mind!

Doughboy just gave me this :
If Yvan Muller married Mandy Rice Davies,
he could be Yvan "Muller Rice" Davies.
Which reminds me :
If Isla St Clair married Barry White, divorced him and then married Bryan Ferry, she would be Isla White Ferry. LOL!
I promise to make the next post about BTCC.
