Sup Dawgs?
Just wondering who here if anyone is planning on making their merry way to 2011's Autosport show in Birmingham?
I didnt go this year as i ventured over to Belgium for their Car show instead.
Im debating at this present momment off time as to rether or not i will go this year.
I went in 2009, I generally feel it's something that's good for the first hour or 2 but than i just end up getting bored after awhile and find myself just wanting to go home.
Im sure as we enter the new year i'll find myself really wanting to go.
So which off you fine young Creatures shall be attending?

Me and a few mates from University will be making the trip down, hopefully armed with equipment to interview some drivers for our course, so should be fun. Havent been for years and looking forward to it.

I'm undecided, need to read up about it as to what to expect. Last motor show I went to was MPH back in 2009 I think it was, enjoyed that because of the Top gear show and hanging out with a mate. But after a few hours was getting bored.
Would be a 2 hour drive for me.

I will be there on the Sunday, I love the show and its a fantastic experience for all Motorsport fans.
The closeness to the cars you can get is great, loads of photo oppertunities. The dunlop stand is great for meeting BTCC Drivers and getting autographs etc.
Live action arena is a good watch.
I been to the show 05/08/09 and 2010, so this will be my 5th visit.
Met Jenson Button and Martin Brundle last year, got British GP programme signed and F1 season review DVD.
Looking forward to it, great way to start the Motorsport year ;)

Never been before but thinking about going this year. I just wanted to ask how close can you get to the drivers and is it easy to get autographs there?

Depends really, Drivers from smaller series arent usually a problem, i managed to get Mat Jacksons Autograph easily enough the year i went.
Big Formula 1 names may be abit different, I had abit of aque to try and get David Coulthards Autograph and they were really rushing us in the end.
My suggestion is see what time their going to be at the autograph stand and get there early.

Duckie1013 and I are gonna be there on the Saturday. Bit of a trek down from Newcastle, but got two nights in a hotel on Laterooms for £90 so not gonna be a one-dayer thankfully!
Looking forward to getting a chance to get the camera out and getting plenty of shots!

Maybe im being abit of a scrooge here, but i found the live show abit boring, I didnt really enjoy the Jason Plato/Tiff Nedell face off ¬.¬
It was only the Reliant Robins at the end i generally enjoyed :p (Though the Autocross and Drift cars were sweet too)
Other than that i quite enjoyed the show, Had a fanboy moment when i saw a Jaguar XJ220 in the classic car auction section..

The live action arena was well and truly dreadful, a total waste of an hour. The Fifth Gear section was cringey and the racing was just the usual nonsense.
