The Club has secured a most welcome and exciting agreement for the Scottish Classic Sports and Saloons to race at the prestigious TOCA British Touring Car Championship weekend at Knockhill on 3rd and 4th September 2011. Entry details to be announced shortly.
well ladies and gentlemen the travellers to knockhill are in for a treat, the SMRC classics are truely a success story from a dozen cars 5 years ago they are now averaging 30 car grids and the plan for this year's scottish championship is that as so many drivers want to race we are having to split the field into 2 races, you will see everything from MG Midgets to TR8's, fiestas to mustangs, loads of V8 monsters including a rare capri perana. I am sure that all fans will enjoy them, these guys do race hard, they might be classics but the drivers dont do boring processional races, they are pretty clean drivers but there is none of the "after you mate" stuff more a case of if you want in front, overtake me. The drivers are all really lovely people and mega approachable too
